The Two Key Limits

Generally, this limits rent increases to a maximum of 20% over a three-year period. However, in regions designated as having a strained housing market, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state ordinances may reduce this cap further to 15%, preventing rapid rent escalations and protecting tenant stability.
