Understanding Activity Logs (Audit Trail)

Every meaningful action taken in your Landager account is automatically logged to the Activity Log database. This creates an unbreakable audit trail proving exactly who did what, and when.

What Gets Logged

The system records Create, Update, and Delete operations across all major entities:

What Each Log Entry Contains

• Action Type: Created, Updated, or Deleted.
• Entity Type: Which database table was affected (e.g., "Payment", "Lease").
• Entity Description: A human-readable identifier (e.g., "Payment for Sarah Smith - Unit 4B").
• Timestamp: Exact date and time of the action.

The Dashboard Feed vs. The Full Log

The Recent Activity Feed on your dashboard shows a summary of the most recent entries. The full Activity Log database contains every action ever taken, going back to the day you created your account.

Use Cases

1. Employee Accountability

If you employ a leasing agent, the activity logs prove exactly which payments they logged, which leases they modified, and whether they deleted any records.

2. Support Troubleshooting

When you contact Landager support about a data discrepancy, the support team can reference the activity logs to trace exactly what sequence of actions caused the issue.

3. Legal Evidence

In eviction proceedings, the activity log can prove the exact date a lease was terminated, when the last payment was logged, and the sequence of events leading to the dispute.
