Application of Default in Commerce
Unequivocally, the commercial landlord and tenant will be strictly governed by the legislative grace period provided for tenants of seven (7) calendar days.
Beyond that timeframe, it is imperative to establish legally in the initial guidelines whether default responsibilities (punitive percentage charges or "interest" rates) will apply. These commercial interests are generally free to fluctuate, provided they remain below the general usury controls imposed by national norms.
At the corporate level, it is also permitted to establish clear termination fines or immediate execution of the security deposit as a charge when proceeding with early termination due to proven and reiterated commercial default that harms the mercantile economic flow.
