Editing and Deleting Expense Records

Expense records, like all data in Landager, can be edited or deleted after creation.

Editing an Expense

1. Navigate to the ExpensesIl-preview mhux disponibbli page.
2. Find the expense that needs correction.
3. Click the Action Menu (three dots) on the row.
4. Select "Edit".
5. The original form appears, pre-filled with current data.
6. Make your corrections (amount, description, date, vendor, property assignment, notes).
7. Click "Save Changes".

Common Edit Scenarios

• Fixing a typo in the amount: You typed $1,50 instead of $150.
• Adding a missing receipt: You forgot to attach the invoice during initial entry.
• Changing the property assignment: You accidentally linked the expense to Building A instead of Building B.
• Updating vendor: The original contractor subcontracted the work to someone else.

Deleting an Expense

1. Navigate to the Expenses page.
2. Find the erroneous entry.
3. Click the Action Menu (three dots).
4. Select "Delete".
5. Confirm the deletion.

When to Delete

• Duplicate entries: You accidentally logged the same $175 plumber invoice twice.
• Completely wrong records: You were entering an expense for Property A but accidentally saved it as a new expense on Property B.

When NOT to Delete

• Refunded expenses: If a vendor refunded you $175 after a service complaint, don't delete the original $175 expense. Instead, log a new expense with a negative amount or add a note explaining the refund. This preserves the history.

[!WARNING] Deleting an expense permanently removes the record and any attached files. The deletion is logged in the Activity FeedIl-preview mhux disponibbli for accountability, but the actual receipt/invoice attachment is unrecoverable once deleted.
