How to Send a Screening Invite to an Applicant

Sending a screening invite is separate from adding a formalized tenant. Instead, you send an invite to an applicant. If the screening is successful, you can convert them into a tenant with a single click.

Step 1: Navigate to Tenants

Go to the Tenants page from your sidebar navigation. At the top of the page, click the "Request Screening" button.

Step 2: Fill in Applicant Details & Requirements

A modal will open asking for the details of your screening request:

• Applicant Name (required)
• Applicant Email (required — the secure link will be sent here)
• Required Documents: Check exactly what you expect the applicant to upload (e.g., ID Proof, Income Proof, Additional Documents).

Step 3: Send Invite & Duplicate Detection

Click "Send Invite" to generate the unique screening link. Landager will automatically email the applicant.

Duplicate Warning: If you have already sent a pending or submitted screening request to this exact email address, Landager will warn you to prevent spamming applicants. You will be given the option to invalidate the old request and force-send a new one.

What the Applicant Receives

The applicant gets an email containing:

• A brief introduction explaining the screening process
• A secure link to the screening form
• Your property information for context (if applicable)

Note: The link is single-use, expires in 7 days, and is tied to that specific applicant. It cannot be shared or reused.

Tracking Screening Status

After sending the invite, navigate to the Screening Applications tab on the Tenants page. You can track the status of all invites there:

• Pending: Invite sent, awaiting applicant submission.
• Submitted: Submission received, ready for your review.
• Reviewed: You have started looking at the details.
• Approved / Rejected: Your final decision has been recorded.
