Landager uses five explicit screening statuses to track the progress of each applicant's screening process. Understanding these statuses helps you manage your screening workflow efficiently.

The Five Statuses

1. Pending

Meaning: A screening invite has been sent and is awaiting the applicant's response.

What to expect: The applicant will receive an email with a secure link. They need to verify their email with an OTP code and then fill out the screening form.

Action: Wait for the applicant to complete the form. You can re-send the invite or force a new duplicate if needed.

2. Submitted

Meaning: The applicant has completed and submitted their screening application.

What to expect: All documents and data are ready for your review.

Action: Click "View" in the Screening Applications tab to open the detailed review dashboard.

3. Reviewed

Meaning: You have opened and started reviewing the application, but haven't made a final decision yet.

Action: Continue reviewing documents or Request Resubmission if you need more information.

4. Approved

Meaning: You have accepted the application.

What happens: Approving a screening application automatically creates a new tenant profile for this person in your Landager system, moving them from the Screening tab directly into your formal Tenants list.

5. Rejected

Meaning: You have declined the application.

What happens: The application is stored for your records but no tenant profile is created.

Invalidated: You might occasionally see this hidden status. If you try to send a duplicate screening request to the same email, and you choose to "force" send it, the older pending request is marked as invalidated so the newest one takes priority.

Where to See Statuses

Screening statuses are visible in:

  • The Screening Applications tab on the Tenants page.
