Filtering and Searching the Lease List
How to navigate a massive database of historical and active contracts using the Lease list filtering, searching, and sorting tools.
Because Landager retains every historical contract you've ever created to protect your tax ledgers, your master Leases list will grow exponentially over time.
A 10-unit building turned over every year for five years will generate 50 lease records. Use the built-in search and filter tools to cut through the noise.
Using the Status Filter
By default, the Leases list displays all contracts (Active, Expired, and Terminated).
To isolate your current revenue generators:
- Locate the "Status" dropdown filter next to the search bar.
- Select "Active".
- The table instantly hides all past contracts, giving you a clean list of exactly who owes you money today.
Using the Search Bar
When hunting for a specific contract—especially a historical one—use the search bar to instantly jump across properties.
- Click into the Search field.
- Type any part of the:
- Tenant Name (e.g., "Sarah Smith")
- Property Name (e.g., "Sunset Towers")
- Unit Number (e.g., "Apt 4B")
Sorting the Data Table
Clicking on the column headers in the lease table allows you to sort the data strategically.
- Start Date: Sort chronologically to see your oldest legacy tenants at the top, or click twice to see your newest move-ins.
- End Date: Sort ascending (closest date at the top) to easily identify which leases are up for renewal discussions in the next 30-60 days.
- Rent Amount: Sort descending (highest value at the top) to quickly identify your highest-paying anchor tenants.
- Property / Unit: Group the list geographically, clustering all current and past leases for a specific building together.
Navigating Pagination
To maintain dashboard performance, the lease list divides large databases across pages. Use the pagination controls at the bottom of the table to navigate, or increase the "Rows per page" setting to view more contracts simultaneously.
