When you click on a contract from the master list, you open its Lease Detail View. While the Property View is about the building, and the Tenant View is about the person, the Lease View is strictly about the financial and legal agreement between the two.

The Header Record

The top command card provides instant visibility into the core terms of the contract:

  • Tenant Name (clickable link to their full profile)
  • Property & Unit Name (clickable links to those profiles)
  • Status Badge: Clear indicator if the lease is Active (Green) or Expired (Grey).
  • Start Date & End Date

From the header, you can use the Action Menu to Edit the terms or delete the contract entirely.

The Financial Terms Panel

Directly below the header sits the financial snapshot, detailing exactly what is owed under this agreement:

  • Monthly Rent Amount
  • Security Deposit Required
  • Deposit Paid Status: A checkbox indicating if the funds were physically received.
  • Late Fee Rules: Details exactly when a late fee triggers and how much to charge (if configured).

Navigating the Associated Data Tabs

Because a lease ties everything together, its detail view acts as a hub for related operational data.

1. The "Payments" Tab

A filtered view of your global payment ledger, showing only the rent payments logged against this specific timeframe and contract.

2. The "Documents" Tab

Your digital filing cabinet for this contract. Displays all uploaded PDFs (the primary signed agreement, pet addendums, move-in checklists) attached specifically to this lease term.

3. The "Condition Photos" Tab

Displays the visual evidence of the unit's condition at the beginning and end of this specific tenancy. Separated into distinct "Move-In" and "Move-Out" galleries to help you decisively win security deposit disputes.

The Value of the Detail View

When resolving a dispute—whether it's about a late fee calculation, a missing pet addendum, or a scratch on the hardwood floor—the Lease Detail View is your definitive source of truth. It aggregates the legal contract, the financial terms, and the photographic evidence into a single, undeniable page.
