What is Tenant Screening in Landager?

Tenant screening in Landager is a built-in feature that lets landlords collect and review applicant information before signing a lease. Unlike traditional property management tools that require paid third-party add-ons, Landager includes screening on every plan, including the free Starter plan.

How It Works

Screening is fully integrated but independent of tenant creation. From your dashboard, you can request a screening for any applicant:

1. Send the Invite: Create a single-use application link from the Screening tab on the Tenants page.
2. Tenant Verification: The applicant receives a secure, one-time link and verifies their email via a 6-digit OTP code.
3. Information Collection: The applicant fills out a comprehensive, mobile-friendly form and uploads the necessary documents.
4. Landlord Review: The application appears in the Screening tab. You can review the details on its own page, and ultimately approve or reject the applicant. Approving automatically creates a tenant profile for them with a Pending status.
