Switching Themes: How to Enable Dark Mode
Learn how to toggle between Light and Dark mode in Landager to reduce eye strain and customize your property management dashboard appearance.
Property management doesn't follow a 9-to-5 schedule. If you're reviewing payment records, logging expenses, or checking maintenance requests late in the evening, staring at a bright screen can cause serious eye fatigue.
Landager features a fully-integrated Dark Mode designed for low-light environments.
Option 1: The Quick Toggle
The fastest way to switch themes on the fly:
- Look at the top-right corner of your dashboard navigation bar.
- You'll see an icon — a Sun (Light mode) or a Moon (Dark mode).
- Click the icon to instantly switch the entire interface.
No page reload required. The change is immediate and affects every page of the dashboard.
Option 2: Permanent Preference via Settings
If you want Landager to always load in a specific theme:
- Navigate to the left-hand sidebar and open Settings.
- Under your Preferences, locate the Theme option.
- Choose from three options:
- Light: The interface stays on a white background permanently.
- Dark: The interface uses a dark background permanently.
- System Default (Recommended): Landager detects your device's operating system theme and automatically matches it.
Why Use Dark Mode?
Beyond looking sleek, Dark Mode offers real benefits for property managers:
- Reduced Eye Strain: Essential for end-of-month bookkeeping sessions or late-night maintenance reviews.
- Battery Life: On OLED smartphones (most modern iPhones, Samsung Galaxy devices), dark pixels save battery — helpful when using Landager's mobile interface on the go.
- Better Focus: The dark interface makes colored status tags stand out more — a bright red "Late" payment badge or a green "Paid" indicator draws your eye directly to actionable data.
