After a payment is logged, Landager generates a detailed receipt view that compiles all the transaction data into a clean, readable format.

How to Access a Receipt

  1. Navigate to the Payments page.
  2. Locate the specific payment in the table (use search or filters to find it).
  3. Click on the payment row to open the Payment Detail View.

Alternatively, you can access the receipt from a tenant's profile:

  1. Open the Tenant's Detail View.
  2. Switch to the Payments tab.
  3. Click on the specific payment entry.

What the Receipt Shows

The receipt view compiles every data point associated with the transaction:

  • Tenant Name and their linked Property & Unit
  • Lease Reference
  • Total Amount Due vs. Paid Amount
  • Due Date vs. Paid Date
  • Payment Method (Cash, Check, Bank Transfer, etc.)
  • Payment Status (Paid, Partial, Late, etc.)
  • Itemized Charges (Base Rent, Late Fee, Maintenance Charge breakdown)
  • Notes (any context you added during entry)

Best Uses for the Receipt View

1. Quick Verification

Before a tenant meeting, pull up their most recent payment receipt to confirm the exact amount received and the method used.

2. Dispute Resolution

If a tenant claims they paid $1,200 but you only logged $1,000, the receipt is your definitive proof. Share it (via the Share Receipt feature) to end the debate instantly.

3. Printing for Physical Files

Use your browser's print function (Ctrl+P) on the receipt view to generate a physical paper copy for your filing cabinet, if you maintain dual digital and physical records.

Receipt Integrity

[!IMPORTANT] Receipts are dynamically generated from the live payment data. If you edit a payment record after the fact, the receipt will update to reflect the corrected data. The original values are not preserved in the receipt view itself—they are tracked in the Activity Logs.
