Viewing Units Within a Property
How to oversee the occupancy and status of every individual unit inside a specific property using the Units tab on the Property Detail view.
When managing multi-family properties or commercial spaces, you need a way to quickly assess which units are occupied, which are vacant, and which are generating the most revenue. The Units Tab inside a property record provides this localized dashboard.
Accessing the Units Hub
- Open the Properties list.
- Click on any multi-unit building.
- You will land directly on the Units tab (it is the default view).
Reading the Unit List
The unit list displays every definable space you've created within that specific building. The table allows you to quickly scan for:
- Unit Identifier: The name or number of the space (e.g., "101", "Suite B").
- Layout: A quick summary of bedrooms and bathrooms.
- Base Rent: The expected market rent assigned to the space.
- Occupancy Status: Color-coded badges instantly show if the unit is Vacant (Grey/Orange), Occupied (Green), or under Maintenance (Yellow/Red).
Identifying Vacancies Instantly
The visual nature of the status badges makes it incredibly easy to spot revenue gaps. If you open a 20-unit building's detail view, your eye is immediately drawn to any "Vacant" tags, allowing you to prioritize the marketing and syndication of those specific listings.
Actions Available from the Unit List
The unit list is not just a spreadsheet; it's an actionable dashboard:
- Add More Doors: The "Add Unit" button lets you expand the capacity of the building.
- Edit Details: Click the action menu (three dots) on any individual unit to edit its specific details (like increasing the base rent after a renovation).
- Delete Errors: If you accidentally created duplicates, you can delete a unit entirely from this menu.
From here, you maintain total control over the physical layout of your investment.
